Little Italy in Avon Park

The first time we had it we really enjoyed it. The next time we ordered extra cheese and there was very little cheese on it.

The best Italian food in Highlands County. One small complaint. Get bleu cheese for the wings. Otherwise..5 stars all around.

Wow! First time to stop by and check this restaurant out—It was so yummy! The picture is the half I had left of my Italian sub. The bread was made in house. The seasoning and sub sauce was the perfect blend of herbs, cheese and olive oil. And, the meats were the best Italian slices. I can’t say enough about this sandwich’s flavor profile—it was bursting at the seams with flavor. I’d definitely recommend this spot and I’ll certainly be back.

So far everything I had has been great. Calzone,pizza,antipasto salad.

Great food and atmosphere ... love the stromboli and calzones ... the pricing is very fair for what you are served. I have become somewhat of a regular here despite a bit of a journey. Highly recommended.For those concerned, the rude cashier is no longer there. The people couldn't be friendlier. They even made me an all meat lover's stomboli to specs. Talk about service! Do yourself a favor and bring the whole gang in for a very pleasant time with incredible tasting food.

Little Italy has the best home made pizza in Highlands county.Their crust has the air bubbles that makes it so yummy. They aren't skimpy on their toppings either. Even though they don't deliver, if your craving for a great pizza you won't mind going to Avon Park to pick it up. You won't regret!!

Food was good. Casual eating... primarily a pizza place. Good stromboli, good size meals allowing for take home and that was great reheated.

The service was very attentive, the food was delicious, we had garlic knots, napolitana pizza, lasagna and stromboli. It was deliciousness on every bite. The cannoli hit the sweet spot at the end, if you like pasta and all things crust give it a try. Prices are great as well.

Ordered a pizza went and picked it up and my pizza was missing a topping and instead the guy forgot his name unfortunately just made me a large fresh pizza for free and let me keep the other one. That is stellar customer service I've been here like 10 times and I'm gonna keep coming back. That guy was a soldier and best pizza in highlands county for sure.

We had a meatball sub and Italian sub, they were fabulous!!! Next time I'm trying the Antipasto Salad which looked amazing

On Monday, December 16th, 2019 I ordered 3 slices of pizza for me and my wife. All of a sudden the owner came with a whole pie of pizza and he told us Merry Christmas guys. I was blessed beyond measure. I Thank you and appreciate what you did for me and my wife. May God shower you and your business with his Blessings. Looking for a awsome Italian place to dine Little Italy is the place.

Really bad service..there’s was a conflict between two customer and no one stood up or did anything about it. Very very disappointed will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. 0/10 would not recommend

First time buying a pizza here. Should've checked it before I left. Got home and it didn't look good. It slid toward one side for some reason. Couldn't have been in the car because it was on a flat service. Seems like it was rushed. Didn't enjoy our first pizza from here.

Amazing Pizza! It's like being back in Jersey! My wife and I drive up from Sebring because it's the best Italian food in the area!

Pizza has 3 main things that can make it great, the crust, sauce and cheese. The crust was great, the sauce was untastable, and the cheese was pretty good. Our issue may have been that we had garlic put on the pizza, which seemed to mute the flavor of things. We also got the garlic bread side dish, and again, that garlic seemed to mute the flavor and it wasn't very good. If we go back, no garlic will be on our pizza!

Pizza is delicious and prices are good. Staff is very friendly. Great place to go for a slice of pizza for lunch. Their menu has many choices for a meal and portions are very generous. I highly recommend it for both pizza and Italian dishes.

PROS: (1) Pizza sauce has wonderful tomato-ee flavor, best I've ever had; (2) Philly sub is outstanding. All menu items are good; (3) Prices are very reasonable. CONS: Atmosphere is lacking, but people dine here for the made-from-scratch Italian food not a violin concerto. NOTE: It's an old bank. Trump just locked himself in the vault. Don't anyone let him out, or slide pizza under the door !!!

Got lasagna which was a frozen one. Stouffers is better. The philly cheesesteak was horrible. And the spaghetti was just a frozen one. Will not be coming back. Should have just went to market 27.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza large. It was fresh and flavorful. The owner is very personable and approachable. The restaurant is clean and the music great. The prices are good!

6/1/20 update: Back for a pizza, calzone and stromboli.Pizza was good. Calzone still in fridge for tomorrow... Stromboli was good but kinda funky with how it was made, looked more like a hoagie than a stromboli.Got a large "Napolitana" with some toppings. It was good and had plenty of stuff on it. Nice folks there. I'll have to come back and try the outdoor seating, it looked nice.This was my second time, I look forward to my third.

I ordered a meat ball sub. It was HUGE and a great deal for the price. I could not finish it. There was over 30 of us and we all enjoyed. Overall a great experience. If though it took about 25 minutes to get my food, I wasn't to upset sense there was so many people. Would definitely recommend.

We have eaten here many times since they opened. Lately the food is getting smaller in portions. The price is going up. Saturday my husband and I ate there and my manicotti was 2 tiny little pasta tubes and it had a slice of cheese thrown on top not even melted and it was cold inside. We also ordered chicken parmesan to take home. It was a piece of chicken no pasta at all. We payed 5.50 for a piece of chicken. I don't think I will be going back.

Easy to get to from US 27. Parking in the back. Enjoyed my supreme stromboli. Loved the crust! Perfect texture between crunchy and soft crust. Tomato sauce served on the side. Chunky, yet saucy, rustic. Pizzaiolo seemed very happy fulfilling orders.

Excellent food. Was given half a pizza by a neighbor 2 weeks ago. Since then we have had take out twice more. We love our pizza and it's hard to find a perfect crust. Especially to want to eat the crust first. We have found our new favorite place to eat. The service is fast, friendly and the area inside and out is clean. They make more items then just pizza and calzones. And we can't wait to try them in a week.

The Lasagna was served cold but was heated up after a lengthy wait. As I finished the last few bites that I ate I noticed that it was still not quite heated.

Just fyi this is counter service not wait service.Pro: Staff is friendly and courteous. Food is priced right and reminds me of Bronx Italian food. Wifi that's not only secured but faster and has a better range than any other restaurant I've ever been in.Handicap accessible at both entrances and the bathrooms. Con: They're not equipped to deal with multiple big groups at the same time. We were 20+ following a 10+ and wait times skyrocketed in line and for receiving food. They could probably handle that amount of people in smaller groups but all at the same time may just be too much.

Memorable food at great prices. The sausage,onion, and pepper sub was excellent with red sauce and provolone. Pizza was also excellent, that with the great service was unexpected !

Only pizza place worth eating at in highlands county. Love the cheese they use on the pizzas. The chicken parm is good too. Even good prices on bottles of wine. The tall guy who looks Italian has super customer service. Definitely try it.

Serveral times during the practice of distancing an eating outside ordered take out from little Italy. Our orders with certain but usual requests were not met. This past time we used them the food was horrible. No seasoning on food very bland, no plastic wear to eat it with now napkins which we very much expect in takeout order. Ordered a calazone with spinach and sausage and extra marinara. Food came and beside above mentioned no extra marinara. Spinack was plan piled in one spot way to much along with a few pieces of sausage. Dough of calazone was not throughly baked . It was horrible.Will not eat there again. Alot of other takeout restaurant s have more e pride and I will support them.

My pizza was soggy, my daughter and i was sitting outside when it started to rain. No one who worked there would come and help us get our food inside my food got wet I had to leave my garlic knots and salad out on the table because we couldn't grab everything on our own and get it inside before it got soaked they were standing at the counter literally watching us after we just paid $40 for our meal not happy

Best Pizza this side of Sicily! Friendly owners and fantastic cannolis too!

We absolutely loved this establishment. It was our first time here. The guys are very polite, professional and funny too. Willing to please, the garlic knots are terrific. (To die for!!) We ordered 40 for our dinner party. Pizza was a wonderful flavor. We recommend and we will return.🍽😍
